This quote really resonates with me and hits home. If you choose a job you love it shouldn’t feel like work. In fact my clients laugh at me now, when I refer to my old office job I say… ‘when I USED to work’. They say that surely I must work harder than ever now that I’m running my own business? But, honestly, it just doesn’t FEEL like work. I love what I do every day and it’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. When I used to have a 9-5 office job there were days when I really didn’t want to get out of bed and it DID feel like work.
I passionately believe that we all deserve to do something that we love every day of our lives as a job, or as a business of our own and get handsomely rewarded for it.
This is one of my all-time favourite quotes from Steve Jobs:
‘Your job is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it’.
Take a moment to read that quote again.
That is a quote I have on my wall. I feel so very lucky to love what I do and run businesses that I am hugely passionate about. I love being able to share my passion for both dance and business with aspiring entrepreneurs as well as with the many individuals who attend ‘On Broadway’® Dance Fitness classes throughout the UK.
I believe…
- That you should be able to do exactly what you love every day and not have to settle for the next best thing.
- That you should be able to share your passion with as many people as possible to enhance & improve their lives.
- That dance should be a part of everyone’s life in some way, not only for physical fitness but also for our important mental wellbeing.
- I believe that if you are as passionate about dance and fitness as I am as a form of fitness & therapy then YOU deserve to turn your passion for dance into a business you love and be handsomely rewarded for it.
